THE DUFFER BROTHERS REVEAL THE FATES OF MURRAY, MR CLERKE, AND ERICA When asked about the future of their beloved supporting characters, the Duffer brothers outlined very fitting destinations for each of them in Stranger Things. Regarding Murray and Mr. Clarke, Matt Duffer shared that he particularly enjoyed the bond they formed. However, Murray will likely continue living his familiar “quirky” life, while Mr. Clarke will continue teaching. “Deep down, he loves education and being around children,” Matt said. As for Erica, according to Ross Duffer, she’s a character no one needs to worry about. “She’s strong enough to take care of herself. Even as she enters high school, Erica is the kind of person who won’t be easily intimidated.” Matt Duffer even confidently asserted that Erica “will definitely be valedictorian.” And after that, her future would literally be wide open: “She can go anywhere and become anything she wants.”
