BLACK PANTHER’S LEGACY IS OFFICIALLY PASSING TO A NEW GENERATION — WITH DAVID JONSSON SET TO PLAY T’CHALLA’S SON AS MARVEL CONFIRMS A DECEMBER 2028 RELEASE FOR THE THIRD WAKANDA FILM First introduced as a child at the end of Wakanda Forever, Prince T’Challa II will now step into the centre of the story as he comes of age beneath the enormous shadow of the father he never truly knew. Ryan Coogler is returning to direct, with familiar Wakandan faces expected to surround the young heir as questions over the throne and the Black Panther mantle resurface. The casting suggests Marvel is not replacing Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa, but exploring what his name and legacy mean to the son left behind — setting up an emotional new chapter rather than a simple recast.
