“DEPRESSED” AFTER DIVORCE FROM KARL COOK, KALEY CUOCO ONCE THOUGHT SHE WAS “ABOUT TO DIE” — BUT A SINCERE 12-WORD STATEMENT FROM A CLOSE FRIEND LEFT HER SPEECHLESS From the outside, Kaley Cuoco’s life seemed perfect — a brilliant career after the success of The Big Bang Theory, global fame, and a life many envied. But behind that glamour, the period of her divorce from Karl Cook became one of the darkest times of her life. Kaley later admitted that when the marriage ended, she fell into a state of severe mental breakdown, at times feeling suffocated by emotional pressure and even thinking she was “about to die” because she couldn’t bear the pain. The days that followed passed in heavy silence as she tried to cope with the void left by her marriage. Then one day, while at home and almost too exhausted to talk to anyone, a close friend unexpectedly said a heartfelt sentence to her—just twelve words. Upon hearing it, Kaley froze. She was silent for a few seconds, her eyes changing completely as if she had just realized something profound. That moment was fleeting, yet it became one of the most powerful memories of that difficult period in her life.

‘Depressed’ Kaley Cuoco thought she ‘was gonna die’ during divorce from Karl Cook

Kaley Cuoco is reflecting on her painful divorce from her second husband, Karl Cook.

During an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Cuoco, 40, opened up about how she battled depression when the former couple were going through their divorce proceedings in 2022.

“It was the premiere of the second season of ‘Flight Attendant,’ and I woke up that morning, I was so depressed and so sad, I couldn’t even breathe and I was just laying on the floor,” Cuoco said.
