Megan Moroney Kicks Off The Cloud 9 Tour With Epic Production and Packed 23-Song Setlist
Featuring a stunning Cloud 9-inspired stage design, a 23-song setlist, and a sea of pink-clad fans, the opening night proved why Moroney is one of country music’s hottest stars.

Megan Moroney kicked off her highly anticipated, first-ever arena stint, The Cloud 9 Tour, on Friday (05/29) at The Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, treating fans to a 23-song set and an epic production. Solon Holt and JP Saxe are served as support.
The sold-out crowd transformed the arena into a sea of pink, sparkles, handmade Megan Moroney gear, and Cloud 9 Tour merch. Fans were buzzing with excitement for the opening night of one of the summer’s most anticipated tours and Moroney more than delivered.
The elaborate stage design featured a flower-filled white picket fence, a grand staircase, three oversized video screen arches, and a sprawling catwalk shaped like the number nine, with nine clouds hanging overhead to bring the Cloud 9 theme to life. While Moroney didn’t have a b-stage, she did have the iconic flower-filled window from the back of her Cloud 9 album artwork as a floating prop in the back that she sat on to perform a trio of songs.
“Can’t believe this is real life… This is the very first night of my first arena tour and I’m going to have to stop myself from crying the entire night so bear with me. This is so so special, thank you so much for being here tonight. Thank you for showing up decked out in pink. I feel like I blinked and were like green then blue and now everyone is onboard with pink. So, thank you so so much for being the best fans in the world. I love y’all so much,” Moroney told the capacity crowd. “This was the first tour where I had to cut several songs that I was sad about not playing, but there was a couple that I knew no matter what would make it so we’re gonna start with those.”
Megan Moroney’s 23-song setlist was packed with chart-topping hits, fan favorites, and a heavy dose of material from her latest album, Cloud 9. Throughout the show, she performed nearly every track from the project, including “Medicine,” “Stupid,” “6 Months Later,” “Beautiful Things,” “Convincing,” “Liars & Tigers & Bears,” “Wedding Dress,” “Change Of Heart,” “Bells & Whistles,” “Table For Two,” “Wish I Didn’t,” “Who Hurt You?,” “Sorry… I Meant Tonight,” “Waiting On The Rain,” “Traitor (Roles Reversed),” and the album’s title track, “Cloud 9.”
The 28-year-old Georgia native also revisited previous chapters of her career, performing songs from Am I Okay?, including the project’s title track and the viral anthem, “No Caller ID.” She also delivered fan-favorite songs from her Lucky era, including “I’m Not Pretty” and her breakthrough smash, “Tennessee Orange.”
Moroney surprised fans with the addition of “Wonder,” the very first song she ever wrote. She also nodded to her 2022 Pistol Made of Roses EP with a performance of “Hair Salon,” which served as the evening’s surprise song. On The Cloud 9 Tour, Moroney will keep fans guessing by playing “whatever I want to every single night,” selecting a different surprise song for that spot in the setlist each night.
Staying true to the Cloud 9 era’s pink-filled vibe, Megan Moroney’s tour merch collection offered fans a variety of options, including hoodies, baseball jerseys, camo and animal-print shirts, fleece jacket, a tote bag, bag charms, hats and CDs/Vinyls.
Spanning 49 dates, the global trek will see the Emo Cowgirl headline major arenas throughout North America, Europe, and the UK, with stops at New York City’s Barclays Center, Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Chicago’s United Center, and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
The extensive trek comes in support of Moroney’s third studio album, Cloud 9, produced by Kristian Bush of Sugarland. With Cloud 9, Megan Moroney said goodbye to the blue era that was her sophomore album, Am I Okay?, and welcomed her new pink color theme for the project she describes as “written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been.” Cloud 9 arrived on February 20 via Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records and features 15 tracks, including the previously released “Wish I Didn’t,” “6 Months Later,” “Beautiful Things,” “Wedding Dress,” “Who Hurt You?” and more. Cloud 9 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 all-genre albums chart.
