Family of brave police officer, 27, killed in line of duty pay tribute to ‘most beautiful boy’ after deadly car crash

THE heartbroken family of a young police officer who died after being critically injured in the line of duty have paid tribute to their “beautiful boy”.
PC Bradley Corke, 27, died in a horror crash which has left another colleague fighting for his life in hospital.
The officers were responding to an emergency call last Thursday evening when their vehicle collided with another at a junction of the A20 in Kent.
Bradley sadly died of his injuries on Saturday, while the other officer remains in critical condition, cops have said.
Now, Bradley’s family have paid tribute to him following his tragic death.
In a heartfelt statement issued through Kent Police, they described him as “one of the finest young men ever to have walked this earth”.
“Our beautiful boy was so cruelly taken away from us far too young,” the family said.
“He was proud to be PC Bradley Corke, and in turn we are proud of his dedication to the profession.
“We have been touched by the outpouring of love and affection from all who knew him.
“We have taken comfort from the kind words of those who he helped in his line of duty.”
The moving statement continued: “Son, we are broken and will probably never recover from your loss, but we hope we can draw strength from all that you are and forever will be.
“We love you son, love you with every ounce of our being. Sleep tight our most beautiful boy.”
The fatal incident occurred on Thursday around 7.45pm on the A20 London Road in Farningham, at the junction with Button Street.
Bradley had served with the force since May 2022, based in Tonbridge.
A member of the public also remains in hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries from the horror crash.
A Kent Police spokesperson said an investigation was ongoing and the force was appealing for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
Kent Police previously said: “Bradley selflessly gave up his life while trying to save the lives of others who were in danger.
“His bravery, dedication, and passion for helping others will not be forgotten.”
A marked Ford Focus police car is understood to have collided with a blue VW Scirocco hatchback in the fatal crash.
Police urged any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to contact its Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting EW/AL/025/26.
