“I WORKED WITH THEM A LONG TIME” KATE MIDDLETON’S FORMER ASSISTANT BREAKS SILENCE: NATASHA ARCHER DROPS A BOMBSHELL ABOUT THE WALES’ PRIVATE LIFE AFTER LEAVING THE PALACE GATES In a cinematic turn of events that has sent shockwaves from Kensington to the global stage, Natasha Archer—the woman who stood by Kate Middleton’s side for over a decade—has finally pulled back the heavy velvet curtains of royal secrecy. As the Princess’s most trusted confidante and stylist, Archer saw the moments the world was never meant to witness. The air of mystery surrounding the Prince and Princess of Wales has reached a fever pitch as Archer reportedly detailed the raw, unscripted reality of their transition away from the rigid palace structure. However, the most stunning part of her testimony isn’t about the fashion or the fame; it’s centered on one chilling, five-word realization she had during their final private evening together that changed her perception of the future King and Queen forever. This leaked insight has ignited a viral firestorm, leaving fans desperate to know if the “perfect” royal facade was merely a carefully crafted illusion or if a much deeper, more complex truth is about to be unmasked.

Kate Middleton’s longtime personal assistant is alluding to her next act after leaving the royal household.

On March 24, Natasha Archer shared a simple post to Instagram teasing her next chapter.

“Coming soon,” read the black text on a white slide, with the date “02.04.26,” using the European format for Thursday, April 2.

The post’s comments section was flooded with well-wishes, with several users writing “exciting” and Phillipa Lepley Couture, the brand behind Princess Kate’s dazzling golden outfit at the U.S. state visit last year, dropping applause emojis.

In July 2025, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that Archer was departing Kensington Palace after 15 years of dedicated service. Archer established herself as an invaluable member of the private household during her tenure and departed her palace role to set up her own private consultancy.

More details were expected in due course, and PEOPLE understood that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ household wished Natasha the very best for the exciting opportunities ahead.

Archer joined Prince William and Princess Kate’s team in 2010 as a personal assistant to them both and, in time, became credited as Kate’s unofficial stylist. She was often spotted carrying luggage during the couple’s international travels and most recently served as the senior private executive assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales, a position she was promoted to in 2022.

Princess Kate’s right-hand woman was considered instrumental in evolving her style from girl-next-door to regal style icon, with the so-called “Kate Middleton Effect” on fashion estimated to drive over $1 billion a year to the British economy. Archer was influential in  curating her wardrobe for weekslong royal tours and pushing a fresh perspective, such as through renting a neon-green body-con dress in a sustainable move for Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston in 2022.

The key aide was there for the Princess of Wales’ most personal moments too, such as being spotted at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital with an outfit and baby seat shortly before the birth of Prince George in 2013.
