Tragedy as surfer dies on popular UK beach after emergency services rushed to the scene
A SURFER has died at a popular UK beach as emergency services rushed to the scene.
Police were called to Towans Beach in Cornwall at around 1:25pm on April 13.

Despite the valiant effort of medics, Paul Norman Faulkner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 51-year-old from St Ives was surfing at the beach last month when he began to suffer a medical episode.
The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT), the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and Devon and Cornwall Police (DCP) rushed to the manâs help.
Faulkner was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene, with his family notified of his tragic passing.
An inquest has been opened into his death and will be heard at a later date.
A police spokesperson said: âWe were called by the ambulance service at around 1.25pm on Monday 13 April following a report of a man suffering a medical episode on the beach after surfing around Sandy Acres, Hayle.
âSadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The family of a local man in his 50s have been made aware.â
