SH0CKING REVEAL: Landman boss reveals whether Billy Bob Thornton used a prosthetic for that jaw-dropping full-frontal scene — and his answer left fans completely speechless.
Billy Bob Thornton may have left viewers stunned with a jaw-dropping moment on Landman, but despite widespread speculation, he did not actually bare it all.
The viral scene, which aired during the series’ second season, quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the show.
However, according to co-creator Christian Wallace, what audiences saw was the result of carefully coordinated prosthetics rather than real nudity.
‘We had an on-set intimacy coordinator, and the original prosthetic she brought in made everyone laugh,’ Wallace told The Hollywood Reporter. ‘We were like, “No.” So we went with a more humble alternative.’
Wallace added that the reaction surprised him, noting, ‘It is surprising to me that people think that was actually Billy doing full-frontal nudity.’
The moment in question occurs during a chaotic hotel-room scene involving Thornton’s character, Tommy Norris.

What begins as a surprise from Angela, played by Ali Larter, quickly spirals out of control when Tommy wakes up to a waitress delivering room service – and she immediately screams upon seeing his arousal.
As Wallace explained, the scene required meticulous coordination behind the scenes.
‘So I should say props to our intimacy coordinator for making it extremely realistic, and to the props team,’ he said. ‘They had a whole rig, as Billy called it: ‘Got my rig on.’
The sequence aired back in December and finds Tommy dealing with the consequences of taking too much erectile dysfunction medication.
As the waitress panics, Angela emerges from the bathroom and shouts at her ex-husband, ‘Put your d*** away!’
She then reassures the room service worker, explaining the mishap.
‘Don’t be scared, darling – that wasn’t about you,’ Angela says. ‘He eats Cialis like M&Ms and runs into door jams all morning with that thing. I’m so sorry about that.’
Angela proceeds to roast Tommy further, adding, ‘That is not the best angle of your [testicles], I might add – you really have to love a man to look at him from there.’
The viral scene, which aired during the series’ second season, quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the showThe insults keep coming as Angela quips about the traumatized waitress, declaring, ‘Poor thing: If she wasn’t a lesbian when she walked in here, she’s a f***ing lesbian now.’
Making her exit, Angela announces, ‘I’m getting dressed – my husband flashes the waitstaff and that kind of kills the mood.’
Tommy responds with a profane and comedic rant, blaming Angela for encouraging him to take an extra pill.
‘Now, what do I do with this f**king thing?’ he asks, before threatening to ruin the breakfast spread. ‘I might f**k the whole breakfast – the waffles, the fruit, the … bagel and the omelette.’

He concludes by singling out one item in particular: ‘The omelette is the first thing that’s getting f****! You better order another one because that one is f*****.’
Landman, created by Wallace alongside Taylor Sheridan, boasts an ensemble cast that includes Sam Elliott, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Paulina Chávez and Jacob Lofland.
On Sunday, Landman aired its season two finale, Tragedy and Flies.
It was officially renewed for a third season last month.
