THE WAIT IS OVER — LANDMAN RETURNS WITH 14 MORE EPISODES AND A ROLLOUT THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING After months of speculation following that explosive finale gamble, Landman is officially back — and not with a quiet renewal, but with a massive 14-episode order that signals serious confidence behind the scenes. West Texas isn’t finished with its ruthless power plays, fractured alliances, and volatile oil deals, and if the finale’s reset tease felt bold, the next chapter is poised to raise the stakes even higher. What’s fueling the buzz just as much as the episode count is the strategic release plan, one clearly designed to stretch tension week after week rather than burn out in a single binge. Industry watchers are already dissecting whether the platform will go with a steady drip of single episodes or shock audiences with an unexpected double-drop twist to ignite conversation. Either way, the message is clear: the oil empire is far from collapsing — it’s gearing up for another eruption, and this time the pressure feels even more combustible.

ction for Season 4 of Tulsa King actually got started around the same time. So a release this year seems likely. There’s no premiere date just yet, but an educated guess would lay out a Late Summer or Fall release in 2026.

Mayor Of Kingstown (Season 5)

Probably Release Date: Fall 2026

Mayor of Kingstown has officially been renewed for a fifth season, and that shouldn’t really come as a surprise. Jeremey Renner has done a stellar job playing Mike McLusky, and the cast additions for Season 4 really lifted Mayor of Kingstown to a whole other level. Edie Falco (The Sopranos), Lennie James (Fear The Walking Dead) and Laura Benanti (Younger) were all added to the show as series regulars for this latest season, and they did not disappoint.

The only disappointing thing is that Season 5 will be the final season of Mayor of Kingstown. That does come as a little bit of a shock, since the show’s creators had previously stated that they had a “seven season plan” for Mike McLusky’s story. But they’ll be wrapping up things up a couple seasons short of that, and in a few less episodes as well. The order for Season 5 is only eight episodes, whereas Seasons 1-4 came in at 10 episodes a piece.

Mayor of Kingstown was renewed for it’s final season just last month, and will begin filming in March. That could lead to a late 2026 premiere date, considering many Sheridan shows get started shooting in March or April and release in the later months of the year.

NOLA King (Season 1)

Estimated Release Date: Late 2026 or Early 2027

There’s a lot of question marks with this Tulsa King spinoff, which is set to focus on Samuel L. Jackson’s Russell Lee Washington Jr.. The character made quite the impact when he was introduced in Season 2, and it’s easy to imagine a spinoff with Jackson at the helm.

NOLA King is still a working title, but the show was rumored to start filming in early 2026. Dave Erickson, who currently works with Sheridan on Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown, has been appointed as the writer and showrunner of NOLA King. He will also be an executive producer on the show that could possibly premiere later this year… emphasis on the possibly.

Landman (Season 3)

Estimated Release Date: Late 2026

If you want some good news, Season 3 of Landman has been ordered and is already in the works. The bad news? It appears that the series will start shooting a bit later in the year than anticipated. Traditionally, Landman has begun filming in April so that it can premiere in November. With Season 3, showrunner Christian Wallace says they’ll be getting started a month later than normal

Following Landman‘s typical turn around time, getting started on the show in May would mean a December 2026 premiere. Any sort of delay could push the release of Landman Season 3 into early 2027. Here’s to hoping the show can bear the Texas heat and still get fans the next season of the hit oil drama in 2026.
