Witnessing the dangerous moment when many audience members fell from the protective barrier in the audience area, Ryeowook was visibly panicked.

KoreaBoo reported that a serious incident occurred at Super Junior’s concert at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena (South Korea). While Ryeowook was reaching out to interact with the audience, the railing on the side of the first-floor audience suddenly broke, causing many fans to fall from a height. Witnessing this terrifying moment firsthand, Ryeowook was visibly panicked.

Following the incident, Ryeowook and the other Super Junior members immediately stopped performing and, along with event staff, checked on the condition of the unfortunate fans who had fallen.

Heechul (Super Junior) Classified as Disabled After Horrific Accident
By the morning of April 6th, SM Entertainment had released an official statement regarding the collapse of the grandstand barrier during Super Junior’s concert. SM Entertainment apologized and disclosed the injuries sustained by the affected audience members. Below is the full statement from a leading South Korean entertainment company.

Regarding the incident that occurred on April 5th during Super Junior’s 20th anniversary tour, “Super Show 10,” in Seoul, we would like to provide the following details:

During the encore performance of the final song, the safety barrier installed by the company on the side of the first-floor auditorium collapsed, causing three audience members to fall and sustain injuries. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital by staff for examination and treatment. Fortunately, no fans suffered serious injuries. The conclusion after the examination was that the three audience members suffered sprains and soft tissue injuries, requiring approximately two weeks of rest and treatment.

We offer our deepest apologies to the injured audience members and their families for this incident. The company will actively support and accompany the injured audience members in their treatment until they fully recover.

At the same time, as the event organizer, we are deeply aware of our responsibility regarding this incident. In the future, we are committed to strengthening safety inspections of facilities and thoroughly managing audience safety at concerts to prevent similar dangerous incidents from recurring.

Once again, we sincerely apologize to the injured audience members as well as all those who felt worried, frightened, and unsafe due to the incident at Super Junior’s recent concert.
