Netflix has locked in for its promotion of The Last House.
The horror-sci-fi film, which follows a family inexplicably sealed in their home while a sinister threat lurks outside, is the talk of the town — Hollywood, in particular. Some 30 feet above the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Selma Avenue, a billboard promoting the film brings The Last House‘s chilling premise to life.
Trapped inside the billboard is a man, hired by Netflix, to remain in the living room built into the structure. Onlookers can catch a glimpse of the performer through the clear windows; one snap even caught the individual holding a whiteboard with “What’s going on?” written across it.

The billboard itself resembles a vine-covered abode, complete with a front door, drainage pipe and a chimney. Beneath the living room window, an ominous message: “How long can you survive?”
The man will “live” inside the billboard from Aug. 6 to Aug. 8, Netflix shared via Tudum.

“While attempting to carry on as normally as possible inside the enclosed space, he’ll communicate with commuters and passersby below using a whiteboard — an eerie echo of the film’s central predicament,” Netflix wrote.
The film stars Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as parents Ann and Jason, respectively, to daughter Ruth (Riley Chung) and son Graham (Noah Alexander Sosnowski).
The first trailer for the movie, which dropped June 15, depicts the first moments the family of four realize they’re completely trapped inside their house and that their neighbors are likely suffering the same fate. The trailer then cuts to “day 1,183,” when suddenly their door is unlocked, revealing a stranger seeking their help.
