A teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Season 6 of “The Chosen” was revealed during a livestream event Sunday night.

“This season is the important and biggest and heaviest season we have ever done,” series creator and director Dallas Jenkins said. “But there’s also moments of pure joy and meaning as well, which you wouldn’t expect in a season about the crucifixion.”

Before the trailer premiered, Jenkins closed the livestream by saying, “Remember, it’s not your job to feed the 5,000; it is only to provide the loaves and the fish.”

The hour has come. Before the sun sets, Jesus of Nazareth will be dead. Season Six captures the historic events of Jesus’ final day through the lives of those who love Him—and those who condemn Him. Trailer Opens With Emotional Scene Between Jesus and Mary

The trailer opens with a deeply emotional moment depicting Jesus’ mother, Mary, gently touching her son’s severely beaten face. Jesus is shown wearing a crown of thorns as a weeping Mary says, “My boy. My heart.”

Jesus replies, “I’m here.”

Other scenes show a Roman soldier cutting branches to craft a crown of thorns, another soldier picking up a whip with metal-or-bone barbs woven into its leather thongs, and Jesus being brought before Pontius Pilate.

Disciples Display Anguish as Crucifixion Nears

Throughout the trailer, Jesus’ disciples are shown in deep anguish and grief. Judas screams in despair before a figure carrying a noose walks toward a tree.
