Whilst a significant portion of the programme is now situated in Rome, with sequences also shot in Venice, it maintains its Parisian heritage.
The latest trailer concludes with an amusing scene where Emily narrowly avoids being struck by a cyclist and responds furiously in flawless French. When the cyclist responds with “the French are so rude!”, Emily brushes off the slight as she’s thrilled to be taken for a genuine French local.
The fifth series will commence with Emily still smitten with Italian cashmere tycoon Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), though the pressures of managing the Roman office may test their bond.

Their passionate affair might also prove a distraction from their professional goals, as Emily confesses her fashion concepts are failing to resonate with Italian clientele.
The preview hints at a return to Paris as both her personal connections and professional obligations appear to be drawing her back to the City of Love, where her closest friend Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) and ex-lover Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) are continuing their lives in her absence.
