Netflix is bringing the comedy this month!

From Running Point season 2 to the addition of NBC’s St. Denis Medical season 1, the streamer is full of laughs both new and old. The former series, created by Mindy Kaling, fictionalizes the real life story of Los Angeles Lakers’ co-owner Jeanie Buss; the first season found tons of success on Netflix. The latter show, which premiered in November 2024, gives the Abbott Elementary-treatment to a struggling hospital staff. Think The Pitt with way less blood and way more jokes.

Sprinkled throughout the month are super starry shows too, including Zach Galifianakis’ This Is a Gardening Show and Kevin Hart’s Funny AF. If you’re looking for something more serious, though, you can stream Unchosen, a British show about a woman trying to leave a cult, and Bandi, a French series about a group of siblings in Martinique grappling with their mother’s death.

Rounding out Netflix’s slate is the return of dating show Love on the Spectrum for season 4, which will see new and returning cast members star, plus season 3 of everyone’s favorite spinoff XO, Kitty. Finally, the streamer is bringing back their anthology series, Beef, for a new season with an all-star cast: Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny. The foursome will play an older and younger couple who find themselves in a tricky position after a big fight.

Here are the 11 shows you need to watch on Netflix in April 2026.

Netflix’s dating reality show Love on the Spectrum returns for season 4 at the start of the month. As always, the series will follow a cast of people on the Autism spectrum as they look for love or work on nurturing their already established relationships.

Over the years, Love on the Spectrum has seen many successes, including James and Shelley and Connor and Georgie, who will all return for the fourth season.

New romantic hopefuls will fill out the cast and bring fresh relatable, heart-soaring storylines to the screen.

While NBC’s St. Denis Medical is in its second season on air, the first season is coming to Netflix at the start of the month.

The raucous comedy, starring Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Tolman and Mekki Leeper among others, follows nurses and doctors in an underfunded hospital. While the themes of the mockumentary tap on real-world problems in the United States’ healthcare system, the show does so with a ton of heart and belly-aching jokes.

In season 3, Kitty is entering her senior year and potentially reeling from touring with her crush Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) over the summer (if that cliffhanger promise came to fruition).

After the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ (FLDS) leader, Warren Jeffs, was convicted of two counts of sexual assault of a child, a member of the group, Samuel Bateman, seized the opportunity to create an offshoot of the group and positioned himself as a prophet to many women and girls who were previously in the FLDS.

Eventually though, new neighbors of the group in Arizona decided to take action. They got to know people in the offshoot, built trust and became moles for an investigation into Bateman’s criminal activities. To their benefit, Bateman wanted to be recorded all the time, even when he was talking about his illegal relationships with women and girls.

The resulting documentary, which charts the time before his December 2024 sentencing for conspiracy to commit transportation of a minor for criminal sexual activity and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, is gripping and honors the bravery of both the filmmakers and the women and girls who fought to get justice.

In this French drama series, a group of siblings is contending with the shocking loss of their mother. The family lives on the Caribbean island of Martinique, which was colonized first by the Spanish and then the French in 1635.

In Bandi, a name meaning “special,” some of the scrappy siblings turn to a life of crime to support themselves, while others rail against the criminal actions of their family members. The high-octane drama promises emotionally dark scenes in the beautiful landscape of Martinique.

Dan Levy is back at the helm of another zany comedy six years after his award-winning show Schitt’s Creek came to an end. In Big Mistakes he plays Nicky, a reverend who gets wrapped up in some very shady business with his sister Morgan (Taylor Ortega).

The show was co-written and co-executive produced by Rachel Sennott bringing both millenial and Gen Z humor to the forefront. While the stakes are high, the siblings deal with their fear through laugh-out-loud situational comedy.

Ready for another serving of Beef? Three years after Steven Yeun and Ali Wong captured the attention of viewers eager to see the culmination of their characters’ insane road rage fight, the drama series is back, this time focusing on two couples with a new kind of beef.

Mulligan and Isaac star as an older couple who get into a massive fight, only to realize it was witnessed by his employee, played by Melton, and his girlfriend, Spaeny. The following story embroils everyone involved in a complicated game of currying favor in their world of an elite country club. Sounds spicy!

You may not immediately associate award-winning comedian Galifianakis with gardening but that’s kind of the point in his new series, This Is a Gardening Show.

The show educates and entertains viewers by putting them into Galifianakis’ novice gardening shoes, allowing them to learn alongside the actor, while he impresses his concerns about how the climate crisis is affecting and will affect our food systems.

With a slew of experts, beautiful shots and some very cute kids, This Is a Gardening Show is a surprising respite from the hamster wheel of day-to-day life and offers a slice of hope to viewers.

Will Waves owner Isla Gordon be able to continue raising the team’s profile? Will their star player, Travis Buggs (Chet Hanks), come back from rehab? And what will happen in Gordon’s love life? Come April 23, fans of Running Point will hopefully get some answers to their questions.

Following the 2004 Man on Fire movie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is ready to take the reins from Denzel Washington as the leading ex-mercenary. This reboot series follows the same source material from author A.J. Quinnell plus his first sequel novel.

Although Mateen II’s John Creasy is trying to start a new life, he is pulled back into his old ways when an opportunity for sweet revenge crosses his proverbial desk. The seven-episode series also stars Bobby Cannavale. While you wait for the show, the original movie is available to stream on Netflix.
