Leonardo DiCaprio Came to the Golden Globes to Win Awards — Only to Get Dragged Instead!
Leonardo DiCaprio may well have been the most unfortunate person at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. He showed up hoping to take home a trophy, only to end up being publicly “picked on.”
On January 12 (Vietnam time), the prestigious Golden Globe Awards 2026 officially took place in the United States, drawing massive attention from fans around the world. The event delivered a wide range of emotions for viewers. But beyond the awards and celebratory moments, what truly set social media buzzing was Leonardo DiCaprio being openly “mocked” live on air.
Specifically, Leonardo DiCaprio’s well-known preference for dating younger women was turned into a punchline by host Nikki Glaser during the ceremony.
“Leonardo is incredible. He’s won three Golden Globes and one Oscar. But you know what impresses me the most? He achieved all of that before his girlfriend turned 30,” Nikki Glaser joked.
Her “spicy compliment” aimed at the Titanic star sent the entire room into laughter, while DiCaprio visibly froze, forcing a tight, awkward smile for several seconds. Glaser then doubled down with another jab: “Sorry, Leo, I didn’t mean to joke like that — it’s just that we don’t really know anything else about you.”
Immediately afterward, Leonardo DiCaprio raised his hand in a clear “warning” gesture toward the host — all broadcast live.

On social media, the moment quickly went viral. Many viewers sympathized with DiCaprio, saying he had come to the ceremony to compete for awards but ended up dealing with a host who “went too far.” Some criticized Nikki Glaser’s joke as tasteless, arguing that mixing career achievements with controversial personal life details was something no one would want to be on the receiving end of.
In fact, DiCaprio’s reputation as a “serial dater” of women under 30 has previously been mocked at major events such as the Oscars and the Emmys back in 2022.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating history has always been a loud topic in Hollywood. Over the years, he has been romantically linked to a long list of famous models and actresses, including Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli, Blake Lively, Nina Agdal, Kelly Rohrbach, Camila Morrone, Erin Heatherton, Eva Herzigova, and Kristin Zang, among others.
However, the common pattern that has fueled endless jokes is that nearly all of DiCaprio’s girlfriends were under 25 years old, and once they passed that age, the relationships reportedly ended. Because of this, DiCaprio has been mocked for years as a man who “never dates women over 25.”
In 2022, a Reddit user even caused a viral stir by creating a chart compiling the ages of Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriends — all of which stopped at 25.
