“It’s such a big cast. We made 30 friendship bracelets for everyone with charms that describe their personality,” she told host Jimmy Fallon on the. show. “So when we went in, we gave them to everyone. It was just a really wholesome day.”
“We didn’t sit at a table, we sat on couches, and we just cried for basically two hours straight,” the actress continued on the Dec. 7 episode of the late-night show.
Then, just as Fallon was about to continue the segment with a heartwarming story about watching Stranger Things with his daughter, Brown sweetly interrupted him to present him with a significant gift of his own.
“Speaking of bracelets, for my 11th time on the show, I thought, ‘What should I bring you to thank you for having me on the show for so many years and always taking care of me’,” she introduced her surprise.
“So, I brought you Eleven’s bracelet from the show, which Hopper gives to her in season 2,” she told Fallon. “And because you’ve been such a paternal figure and always looked out for me, I wanted to give you this to say, ‘Thank you’.”

“Oh my god, are you serious?” a taken-aback Fallon said in response.
The bracelet Brown gifted Fallon is a deeply meaningful item from Stranger Things. The origin story of the bracelet comes from Hopper’s late daughter Sara, and it was her hair tie that he wore as a memento and later gave to Eleven as a symbol of their strengthening father-daughter bond.
Brown and her Stranger Things costars kicked off the press tour for the final season of the series in early November.

At the Nov. 6 premiere in Los Angeles, the actress — who wed Jake Bongiovi in 2024 and adopted a baby girl in 2025 — shared a few of her biggest takeaways from her decade in the fictional Hawkins, Ind., with PEOPLE.
Brown said that “probably the most amazing part about” being involved with the show since its 2016 debut is how she built a family with her cast and crew.
The first four episodes of Stranger Things season 5 are currently streaming on Netflix. The next three episodes are set to release on Dec. 25, with the finale slated to hit theaters on Dec. 31.
