The gang from Stranger Things prepare to take a final stand against Upside Down baddie Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) in the newly-released trailer for the second volume of season five.
The two-minute preview begins with Joyce (Winona Ryder) reassuring her discouraged son Will (Noah Schnapp), who’s just discovered his hidden powers: ‘This is not over — not by a long shot.’
The residents of fictional Hawkins, IN are still living in lockdown as the military hunts for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and investigates the Upside Down rift.
‘Help me find him, kill him,’ Eleven says to Eight (Kali Prasad).
Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Steve (Joe Keery) team up and vow to each other: ‘If you die, I die.’
‘This whole time,’ Dustin marvels.
‘Everything we have ever assumed about the upside down, has been dead wrong.’
Comatose Max (Sadie Sink) and Holly (Nell Fisher) are trapped inside Vecna’s magical memory world and begin to explore it together.
The trailer only included a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpse of David Harbour’s Jim yelling, ‘Come on!’
Harbour is currently embroiled in a highly-publicized cheating scandal following the tell-all release of his ex-wife Lily Allen’s album, West End Girl.
Everyone from the SAG Award-winning ensemble returns for the final showdown of the critically-acclaimed, Netflix binge-watching favorite.
The season five cast includes Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Maya Hawke, Brett Gelman, Priah Ferguson, Linda Hamilton and Cara Buono.
Creators Ross and Matt Duffer will release volume two on December 25, but the two-hour series finale – fittingly called ‘The Rightside Up’ – hits select US theaters/Netflix on December 31.
‘It’s the best episode they’ve ever done. They land the plane,’ Harbour gushed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast last year.

‘The end of this episode when we were reading it — just us reading it — about halfway through, people started crying. Then about the last 20 minutes, it was just uncontrollably crying, waves of different people. Noah Schnapp being my favorite.
‘I think part of that also is the fact that these kids, it was their childhood. Like, they started the show when they were 11 and 12, and here we are reading [the finale].’
The 50-year-old Emmy nominee added: ‘It’s such a great episode, and it’s such a great season. You guys will love it.’
