Former New York Giants cornerback Sam Beal has been missing for seven months, sparking growing concern as his family goes public with an urgent appeal for help. Beal, 29, was last seen on July 12, 2025, after dropping off his girlfriend and telling her he was heading back — but he never arrived.
According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System report, Beal borrowed his girlfriend’s vehicle that day and drove to Virginia Beach, where the car was later recovered with his shoes, socks, and sand inside, but no sign of him. He reportedly left behind everything except the clothes he was wearing, a pair of slides, and his wallet.
In a Facebook post, his sister Essence Zhane begged for public assistance, saying the family has “done everything we could” and now desperately needs outside support to find answers or closure. “We love you and miss you,” she wrote, noting the emotional toll of months without contact.
Beal, who played two seasons for the Giants after being drafted in the 2018 supplemental draft, hasn’t played in the NFL since 2021. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Kenwood Police Department or Virginia Beach Police Department.
