A violent street altercation involving actor Alan Ritchson is under investigation after footage surfaced showing the “Reacher” star repeatedly striking a neighbor during a heated confrontation in Tennessee.

The incident, reportedly filmed by a nearby resident and later circulated online, shows Ritchson throwing multiple punches at a man identified as Ronnie Taylor, who appears to be on the ground at points during the scuffle. Two young boys—believed to be the actor’s sons—can be seen nearby, watching the altercation unfold.
According to Taylor, the confrontation stemmed from an ongoing dispute over Ritchson allegedly riding a loud motorbike through the neighborhood at high speed. The tension escalated after an earlier exchange involving obscene gestures, before reigniting the following day when the actor returned with his children.
Taylor claims he was struck “at least four times,” later sharing images of visible facial injuries. He has since reported the incident to police, prompting an active investigation. No arrests have been made as of now.
However, accounts from sources close to Ritchson sharply contradict that narrative, alleging that Taylor was the aggressor. Insiders claim the neighbor approached in an “aggressive” manner and even pushed the actor off his motorbike prior to the altercation, triggering the physical response seen in the video.
Ritchson is also said to have sustained minor injuries, including bruises and a finger issue, though he has not publicly addressed the incident. His representatives have yet to issue an official statement.
The controversy has quickly gained traction online,
fueled in part by the stark contrast between Ritchson’s on-screen persona as a disciplined action hero and the chaotic nature of the real-life confrontation now under scrutiny.
Authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the altercation as conflicting accounts leave one central question unresolved: what truly happened in the moments before the camera started recording.
