Anyway, there’s a trending post on Reddit about a T-shirt on the Netflix Store that has seemingly accidentally (or intentionally?) spoiled a crucial part of Volume 2 of Season 5, essentially like this:

The shirt features an image of Vecna and the Mind Flayer in a stand-off, separated by twelve spires. And this image seemingly spoils the fact that the picture Will drew is the actual location where the twelve children were captured and held, so no more guesswork needed! It’s highly likely this location is either within the Hawkins Lab or behind the ‘meat wall’ structure. This could be why Vecna didn’t want Will to see this place.

Furthermore, the image includes a map of Hawkins, a hierarchical structure of “Vecna’s towers,” confirmation of the Mind Flayer’s origins, an explanation of the hive mind, and Vecna’s weakness (partially obscured?). The product description on the shirt itself doesn’t offer much new information, but what’s crucial is the product’s online description, which includes the line: “…pitting the Mind Flayer and Vecna against each other in a monumental design that captures the scale of the final battle to resolve all mysteries.” This seems to suggest that Vecna and the Mind Flayer will not be on the same side?

And this isn’t the first time Netflix has “accidentally” leaked the plot through merchandise. There was the previous incident where the Monopoly game set for Season 4 exposed the entire plot about Vecna and Eddie even before the show aired. Therefore, this T-shirt might not just be a faulty item; it could be a “feature,” a crucial piece of the puzzle revealed prematurely?
