“Caller stating that his dad might have stabbed his mom and that she’s lying on the ground bleeding, can see holes in her shirt. Unknown where his father is now,” a female dispatcher’s voice can be heard on the audio recorded just after midnight Thursday.

Minutes later, a male police officer’s voice radioed in that the grisly scene was “an obvious DOA” and that she “didn’t have a pulse.”

“I haven’t cleared the scene yet, I have the son with me downstairs. Units on scene to clear the house, husband’s car is still in the driveway,” the male voice said.

Cops obtained a description of Fairfax from his son, who described him as “a black male, 5-foot-10, clean-shaven with short hair.”

A short time afterward, the dispatcher said a photo of Fairfax — whom she described as “the suspect” — was distributed on the internal police network.

The male voice came back on the radio, saying, “We got another subject down in the bedroom upstairs, I think this is gonna be our subject. He’s got a firearm with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.”
