I have been following Tom Read Wilson on Instagram for some time thanks to his role as a receptionist and client coordinator on the E4 reality series Celebs Go Dating. However, without question, many I’m A Celebrity 2025 fans were less familiar with the TV star and were soon won over by his personality and of course extensive vocabulary.

In response to I’m A Celebrity Instagram post about Tom, one fan wrote: “Tom was my winner but congrats Ginge absolutely brilliant series,” whilst Tom’s own sister Miranda Read Wilson said: “King of our hearts ♥️ smashed it Tom Tom! X.”

The I’m A Celebrity Instagram page also shared a post about Tom being runner up and wrote: “Tom is your I’m A Celebrity… 2025 runner up! Massive well done to him and what a joy it’s been to watch his time in the Jungle 👏.”

One fan said: “Tom was my winner absolutely lovely human being xx,” whilst another wrote: “Amazing, ubiquitous, captivating, just adorable Tom. He’s my winner ❤️.”

Following Tom Read Wilson’s success on I’m A Celebrity, he will undoubtedly be inundated with offers but there is one TV show which I think he would be perfect on and they would be mad not to consider him and that would be Strictly Come Dancing. Stop what you are doing now and just think about him on the show, the superlative language that he would use to describe the dances would be a joy to listen to.

The likes of Emma Willis, Rylan Clark, Bradley Walsh have all been named as possible replacements for Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman who are leaving at the end of this series, but in my opinion, this would just be playing it safe. By all means, possibly opt for a female star such as Emma Willis, but team her with someone like Tom Read Wilson for something a bit different and the spark that the show will badly need once Claudia and Tess leave.

When Tess Daly revealed that she was leaving Strictly, she wrote: in a post on Instagram, that “After 21 unforgettable years, the time has come to say goodbye to Strictly Come Dancing.

“It’s hard to put into words what this show has meant to me, so here goes…

“Strictly has been more than just a television programme. It’s felt like having a third child, a second family, and a huge part of my life since that very first show back in 2004. I knew then that it was something special, but I could never have imagined the magic it would bring.

“Strictly has always been about joy, celebration and bringing people together – and I’m so proud to have played a small part in something that continues to mean so much to so many.

“From that very first aries, I had the great honour of standing alongside the incomparable Sir Bruce Forsyth.”

In a joint statement, Tess and Claudia wrote: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.

The pair also said: “We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show.”

Tess Daly mentioned that she never imagined the “magic” Strictly would bring, I personally think Tom Read Wilson would bring a lot of magic to the show if he is chosen to host it, who agrees?
