Aryna Sabalenka is engaged to beau George Frangulis. The 27-year-old tennis star from Belarus shared the exciting news on Instagram.

“You & me, forever,” Sabalenka captioned a post on Tuesday, March 3, adding the infinity symbol emoji and the date, “3.3.26.” The athlete included a video of the proposal during which Frangulis got down on one knee in front of an impressive display complete with gorgeous flowers and lit candles.

“I can finally call him something else… FIANCÉ,” Sabalenka captioned a subsequent post, showing off her ring.

She took to her Instagram Stories to share some additional details of the special day, including how she was feeling about her outfit—a T-shirt, jeans, and a pair of flip flops.

“All good guys. Everything happened, but just how I look,” she said. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Frangulis said his bride-to be looked “pretty,” though she disagreed.

“Well, I obviously had NO idea this was happening tonight,” she wrote on the clip.

Sabalenka and Frangulis were first linked in April 2024. She was previously in a relationship with Konstantin Koltsov, who died by suicide a month prior.

In August 2025, a couple got engaged during Sabalenka’s tennis match. The moment was very sweet and made the tennis star think about her own engagement.

“I think it’s the first time that someone proposed during my match, and it was a very sweet moment,” she said during a press conference that was posted on the official Instagram account of the US Open. “I was just trying not to start smiling, you know, because it’s very cute. I believe they are super happy right now, but I was trying to keep focusing on my game. It was a great moment, and as I said on the court, I wish them to have a happy marriage.”

When asked whether she hoped someone in the crowd felt inspired by the proposal, Sabalenka joked, “I looked at my boyfriend — no pressure.”

In January 2026, Sabalenka shared that she was hoping to become a fiancee sometime soon. The comments came during a presser at the Brisbane International tennis tournament.

“Last but not least, thank you to my team for handling me. I really am the toughest to handle and you are the toughest in the world because you can handle me,” she said after winning 6-4 6-3 over Marta Kostyuk on Sunday, Jan. 11.

“Thank you to my boyfriend… Hopefully soon I can call you something else,” she said with a laugh. A little more than one month later, Sabalenka got her wish.
