Passenger plunges 50 feet to her death at Indianapolis airport

A woman plummeted 50 feet to her death at the Indianapolis airport over the weekend, officials said.

The woman, identified only as a 38-year-old, was at the Indianapolis International Airport around 12:15 p.m. Saturday when she fell from the outside edge of the Upper Terminal Drive, WTHR reported.

First responders performed lifesaving measures for 30 minutes, but the woman succumbed to her injuries.

The horrific fall was witnessed by dispatchers who were monitoring the airport’s security cameras.

They saw the woman fall from the upper deck to the grassy area below, according to the local outlet.

It was unclear why the woman was on the outside edge of the terminal deck or why she fell.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office arrived just before 2 p.m. to investigate the cause of death.

The Indianapolis International Airport did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department declined to comment.
