Sheets’  body was discovered at around 2 a.m. on April 22 — he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, per the Lake Havasu Police Department. The reality star was 67.

“The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation,” read a release obtained by Page Six at the time, noting that the body was “ultimately turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation” after being identified as Sheets.

He was survived by family members including longtime partner Kimber Wuerfel — whom People reported was his wife — son Brandon Sheets, daughter Tiffany Sheets, and granddaughter Zoie.

“Storage Wars” star Rene Nezhoda claimed that cyberbullying may have been behind Sheets’ death.

“He had this guy, like, really, really tormenting him lately and cyberbullying [him],” Nezhoda said in an Instagram video in the hours following his co-star’s death.

“Darrell has been posting a lot about the guy that’s been cyberbullying him and tormenting him, and I really hope [law enforcement] look into that guy and it’s just not a pass,” he added.

Public information officer for the Lake Havasu City Police Department in Arizona, Sergeant Kyle Ridgway, told Page Six that they were “aware of these cyberbullying accusations and that is a part of the active investigation.”

“Storage Wars” rival Brandi Passante expressed her shock after Darell’s death, noting in a social media upload that she was “at a loss for words.”

“I’m just so very sorry, to hear the circumstances of his passing,” she wrote in part. “I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone.”

Fellow “Storage Wars” personality star Mary Padian also weighed in, writing that Darrell “will be missed.”

Darrell appeared on the hit show — which features buyers in bidding wars over abandoned storage units and their contents in California — from 2010 to 2023.

The star was photographed walking his dog in a final Facebook photo back in February, and was spotted smiling in a photo with fans at his Lake Havasu antique shop just hours before his death.
