Welliver will first make a stop at Dark Winds season 4, bringing his veteran on-screen presence to AMC’s Graham Roland-created adaptation. Debuting in June 2022, with George R. R. Martin and the late Robert Redford as executive producers, the series is based on the Leaphorn & Chee books by Tony Hillerman. It centers on Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, played by Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon, respectively, with Jessica Matten co-leading as Bernadette Manuelito.

Titus Welliver’s gritty return to crime dramas is revealed in the first look at Dark Winds season 4. Welliver has kept busy since the ending of Bosch: Legacy in April. Welliver will join the Dark Winds cast in a different role than what audiences are used to seeing of him in his defining Bosch role. The character of McNair will appear in multiple episodes as a ruthless crime boss who specializes in drugs and stolen luxury goods, bringing them in and out of Los Angeles. New additions to the season also include Franka Potente, Isabel DeRoy-Olson, Billie Tsosie, Chaske Spencer, and Luke Barnett, while A. Martinez returns as Gordo Sena.
