Stranger Things 5: Eleven helps Vecna become even more powerful
The story of Stranger Things season 4 can be considered a “happy” ending and the people in Hawkins somehow feel more peaceful and safe when they all gather together after so many years apart.
However, it will be a long time before the children here have complete happiness when in the final scene of season 4, Vecna successfully broke the boundary between the real world and the Upside Down, opening the gate for countless evil supernatural forces to flood into humans. Among them, Eddie has sacrificed himself, and Max is in a coma. In general, according to Bap, the situation is “hanging by a thread”!

To set up the final confrontation between Vecna and Eleven, the Stranger Things season 4 finale showed us that Eleven failed to defeat the villain, despite temporarily subduing him.
In addition to the fact that Vecna’s ashes disappeared when Nancy, Steve, and Robin burned him, Max was in a coma, the sacrifices that happened, the merging of the two worlds made Eleven feel defeated, and Vecna’s ability to “use the darkest memories of her victims against them” could turn into a powerful weapon for Number 11, who now has too much pain and disappointment in herself.

Since the Mind Flayer possessed Will Byers in Stranger Things season 2, it’s clear that the monster took over its new host by forcing them into a state of despair. This may be why the Demogorgon never “killed” Will, as the creature was part of Vecna’s mind and its master needed a human host, not food.
Vecna/Mind Flayer took this approach further in season 4 when he forced Chrissy, Patrick, Fred, and Max to see their worst memories as part of his “trick” to lure victims into a trance before finishing them off.

In Stranger Things season 5, Vecna will likely exploit Eleven’s anger, frustration, and anxiety to make her even weaker. Eleven’s ability to resurrect Max in the Stranger Things season 4 finale proves that her powers are still there and may even be stronger than ever.
However, this means that her loss to Vecna really left her wondering “am I strong enough to fight Vecna?” It’s clear that Eleven doesn’t feel like she can beat Vecna when she faces the villain, and this realization is reinforced by Dr. Brenner repeatedly telling her that she’s not ready for this fight.

Vecna can sense this negative emotion and will use it against Eleven in Stranger Things season 5, further frustrating and tormenting her by convincing her that she cannot defeat him. It is clear that Vecna’s power level is not enough to resist Eleven so he just manipulates her mind, deludes her into thinking that “fighting is useless” so that Eleven’s power becomes weaker and Vecna quickly “disappears” like she did to the other victims.

After Stranger Things season 3 introduced too many villains, too many monsters that made it difficult for viewers to follow and the story became rambling, in season 4, the film showed us that the supernatural monsters of the “other world” are all under the “management” and control of a powerful creature behind.
Henry Creel/One/Vecna used Demogorgons, Demodogs, Mind Flayer, Spider Monster, and the monstrous bats in the Upside Down world as his troops, he is the “boss” of the Upside Down, and caused many terrifying dangers to the town of Hawkins and the world.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Vecna will go all out in Stranger Things Season 5 – the final season of the show. Bap hopes that Eleven’s disappointment in herself will be soothed and encouraged by her friends and relatives, because only she can defeat Vecna and completely destroy the Upside Down world.
