Fans of The Chosen have finally received their first official glimpse of the series’ highly anticipated sixth season. Released on July 27, the emotional teaser previews what promises to be the most powerful chapter of the hit biblical drama as it follows the final 24 hours of Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry on Good Friday, leading to His crucifixion.
The trailer features several of the Gospel’s most significant moments, including Jesus’ arrest, His trials before the authorities, the brutal scourging at the pillar, His journey to Calvary, and His final words from the cross. The footage signals a dramatic shift in tone as the series enters its most emotionally demanding storyline to date.
Season 6 will consist of six episodes, with the first three premiering on Prime Video on November 15. The remaining episodes will be released weekly, concluding on December 6. Rather than ending on streaming, the season’s final episode will receive an exclusive theatrical release on March 12, 2027, allowing audiences to experience the culmination of Christ’s Passion on the big screen.
Alongside the new season, 5&2 Studios and Capitol Christian Music Group have announced a companion album inspired by The Chosen. The collection will feature original songs from a variety of artists, with the first single, “All I Need Is You,” performed by country star Tyler Hubbard, arriving on August 7. Additional artists contributing to the project are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Hubbard shared that creating music for The Chosen was especially meaningful because the series has become part of his family’s nightly routine.
He explained that the song represents a departure from his traditional country sound and reflects a deeply personal message of faith. According to Hubbard, writing about the need for Jesus made the project especially rewarding and meaningful, adding that he hopes listeners will connect with its heartfelt message.
With an emotional new trailer, a unique release strategy, and a faith-centered soundtrack on the way, The Chosen is preparing to deliver what many expect to be its most moving and unforgettable season yet.
