With HBO Max’s launch in the UK, new viewers have been able to watch the acclaimed medical drama.
After the first episode of series two became available, fans took to social media to share their grievances.
They claimed that subtitles appeared prior to the relevant scenes, meaning spoilers as a result.
One wrote: ‘I’m watching the pitt on hbo max in the uk and idk if it’s my wifi or what but it’s so laggy and the subtitles are ahead.’

A third chimed in: ‘Just tried to watch the first episode of the Pitt on Now TV (on laptop browser) and the subtitles are waaaay out of sync, like by about 30 seconds to a minute.
‘Hopefully this can be remedied as otherwise it’s unwatchable.’
While a fourth said: ‘Begging you to fix the timing of the subtitles on the pitt please and thanks.’
In response to one fan, HBO wrote on X: ‘Thank you for your time and patience’s as we work on this.’
Each episode covers one hour of a 15-hour shift at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
The show takes place in Pittsburgh, with the title nodding to both the location and a nickname for the hospital’s emergency department.
Noah Wyle plays lead character Dr. Michael ‘Robby’ Robinavitch and won Outstanding Lead Actor (Drama) at the 2025 Emmy Awards.
Other cast members include Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell and Shabana Azeez.
Elsewhere, TV superfan Luke Ecclestone – known online as Eccy Reviews – shared his verdict on the show.

In a video posted to Instagram, he lauded The Pitt as ‘one of the best shows you will ever watch.’
Luke said: ‘You can’t waste any more time and you need to see it right now.’
He added: ‘So, HBO Max has just dropped in the UK, however it has been everywhere else for months and now, you can go and watch The Pitt and I couldn’t recommend this show enough.
‘This is one of the most intense medical dramas you will ever come across, ever, in your life as each episode follows one hour of a day in this hospital.
‘It is one of the most intense shows you’re ever going to come across.
‘The performances are unbelievable, the medical drama-side of it is so intense, so gripping, and honest to God, I actually just can’t recommend this show enough.’
Luke went on: ‘It is one of the highest rated shows. Everyone’s been talking about it for years, literally. So go and watch it, get it on your watch list.’
