Fisher, who plays Holly Wheeler, joined the cast of the supernatural series for its fifth and final season. She took over the role of Nancy and Mike Wheeler’s younger sister as the character took on a more central role in the show’s plot.

To prepare, the Evil Dead Rise actress said she met with Anniston and Tinsley Price, the twins who originally played Holly in prior seasons. “We talked about her and her character. We spent two hours at a trampoline park, and they’re really lovely girls,” Fisher said.

As the sister of Mike, played by Finn Wolfhard, Fisher worked closely with the actor and became good friends with him.

“He’s such an amazing guy,” Fisher said. “He’s definitely been really helpful, kind of talking about what is kind of to come because he did this when he was younger. He was around the same age, and yeah, he’s given a whole lot of helpful advice.”

As for the best piece of advice her on-screen brother gave her, Fisher simply said: “Being able to say no and being able to say it nicely.”

Stranger Things’ final season premiered on Nov. 26 on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the Hawkins heroes are on the hunt for Vecna, the show’s antagonist.

“Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding,” reads the official plot synopsis. “As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”

Volume 1 of Stranger Things season 5 is now streaming on Netflix. Volume 2 drops Dec. 25, followed by the finale on Dec. 31.
