Wednesday Star Emma Myers Shocks Fans By Choosing This Character As Her Favorite And The One She Wants To Return In Season 3, And It’s Not The Character You’d Guess!

Wednesday's' Emma Myers Talks Enid's Friendship With Wednesday

After a whirlwind second season, the final episodes of Wednesday‘s second outing have left fans shocked as thoughts instantly turn to a third outing. Hopefully without a near-three-year hiatus, the third return of Jenna Ortega‘s titular psychic troublemaker is sure to be just as popular as the first two installments, with the recent second dominating the streaming charts over the past month. Ahead of the third season and the rumored start of production next March, fan-favorite Emma Myers has spoken in a recent interview about her hopes for Season 3, in particular revealing which of the series’ many characters she’d most like to see return.

“She’s amazing. What a woman! So sweet,” Myers said in reference to Billie Piper, with the iconic Doctor Who star joining the cast as the new music teacher, Isadora Capri. “She’s really good at scolding you as a teacher, to the point where, when we were filming and she was getting mad at me, I was like, ‘I’m sorry!” Myers then continued, adding just how much she’d love to get back on set with Piper. “She’s so lovely, and I hope I get to do more with her next season, because she’s such a treat to work with. And what a great character, a very interesting character!”

‘Wednesday’ Season 2, Part 2 Hasn’t Satisfied Everyone

With so many plot threads to tie up and a turn away from gothic whimsy into drama, Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 had a lot to juggle. According to some critics, it didn’t quite pull this off. Although there is still plenty to praise, including Ortega’s perfect lead performance and the series’ indulgent cinematography, Season 2, Part 2 seems to be the weakest section of the show so far in the eyes of some. Collider’s Therese Lacson awarded the second half a 7/10 in her review, citing a weakening of momentum from the mid-season break and an overflowing cast as negatives. Lacson said:

“Unfortunately, Wednesday Season 2 often juggles too many plotlines and characters. Perhaps because the show often holds tightly to the mystery element of the premise — wherein Wednesday is the Poirot/Sherlock on the case — the series leans too far into finding surprising twists that aren’t necessarily set up properly in a way that’s satisfying. The bones are there, the show is full of talent both in front of and behind the camera, and the Addams family is a beloved IP, but lacking a strong focus ends up making Season 2 scattered.”
