“THE PRIDE OF THE PHILIPPINES.” — PIERS MORGAN’S 40TH BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE TO HIS FILIPINA NANNY STRIKES A GLOBAL CHORD What could have been a simple birthday post turned into something far more meaningful when Piers Morgan publicly honored Cory, the Filipina nanny and housekeeper who has stood beside his family for sixteen years, calling her “the pride of the Philippines” and thanking her for everything she has done behind the scenes. In a message filled with warmth rather than formality, he described her as the loyal, tireless presence who has quietly kept their home running, the dependable “Ms Fixit” who never seeks attention yet carries so much responsibility with grace. Morgan’s tribute, paired with photos spanning years of shared memories, became more than a celebration of turning forty; it became recognition of dedication, resilience, and the quiet strength of a woman whose work rarely makes headlines but shapes daily life in profound ways. MANILA, Philippines — English broadcaster Piers Morgan wished many happy returns to Maricor “Cory” Flor, his Filipina housekeeper of over 15 years.

Last February 24, on his Instagram account, Piers posted photos of himself with Cory holding up a birthday cake and in a museum over a decade ago.

“Happy 40th birthday to the wonderful Cory… our family’s incredibly loyal and hard-working cleaner, nanny, housekeeper and all round Ms Fixit for the past 16 years,” Piers wrote in his caption.

Piers went on to praise Cory as “the pride of the Philippines who never looks a day older” before thanking Cory for her years of service.

Many of Piers’ followers left birthday messages for Cory in the comments section, some of them peers of the broadcaster who’ve crossed paths with the Filipina over the years.

Both Piers and Cory are based in the United Kingdom though Cory frequently flies back to the Philippines to visit family and friends.
