Hate-filled protests erupt outside courthouse after Karmelo Anthony found guilty of murder

MCKINNEY, Texas — Hate-filled clashes focused on race erupted Tuesday outside the courthouse where black teen Karmelo Anthony was convicted of murdering white fellow high-schooler Austin Metcalf.

“Free Karmelo!’’ pro-Anthony supporters screamed, rallying against the swift verdict that could now land the 19-year-old up to life behind bars.

Someone raged, “This whole thing’s been racist!

Another person yelled, “Y’all used to locking up n—as any goddamn way!”

A Metcalf supporter donning a suit and tie was hauled away from the courthouse in handcuffs after he allegedly shoved an Anthony sympathizer.

The cops physically blocked the pro-Anthony mob from reaching the detained man.

“Bye b–ch! Bye p—y ass n—a!” one woman cackled.

“Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!” the Metcalf supporter said to a camera pointed in his face while he was led away.

When Anthony’s 35-year sentence was announced in the courthouse, one woman ran outside to deliver the news to the public that had gathered.

“Thirty-five years for self-defense! If [Metcalf] was white, we wouldn’t even be here today, it never would’ve had a court, there never would’ve been no handcuffs, we wouldn’t be here today!” she shouted to the captive audience.

The unidentified Anthony supporter claimed that Metcalf was dead because “somebody didn’t know how to go get an adult.”

“[Metcalf’s mother] should’ve taught your sons to go get a motherf–kin’ adult like we know how to do!” she snapped.

Another demonstrator was furious at the fact that Anthony didn’t have a single black juror at trial.

“Tell those white folks, why is a black boy in front of an all white jury? When has a white boy been in front of an all black jury? Never!”

The jury consisted of whites, Asians and Hispanics.

A white protester carried his baby over to the crowd and started jeering at one point, and foes in the crowd — which included five or six people who identified themselves as with the radical black-power group the Black Panthers — ran him off.

Authorities appeared poised to make arrests at several points during the conflict.
