The young In-N-Out Burger employee who lost her life in the tragic mass shooting at the chain’s newly opened Twin Falls, Idaho, restaurant has been identified as Ashley Garibay, a 23-year-old team member remembered for her dedication, kindness, and passion for her work.

Garibay, originally from Stockton, California, had been with In-N-Out since 2019 and was part of the company’s traveling “All-Star” team, a specialized group of experienced employees who help launch new restaurant locations across the country. Family members and coworkers said she loved her job and had hoped to become a store manager one day.

She was among the victims when authorities say 24-year-old Chad Williams opened fire inside the recently opened restaurant on Saturday afternoon. The gunman allegedly used an AR-style rifle, killing multiple people and injuring several others before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police believe Williams acted alone, and investigators have not yet announced a motive for the attack.

In-N-Out President Lynsi Snyder publicly mourned Garibay’s death, describing the tragedy as heartbreaking and expressing support for the victims’ families, employees, and everyone affected by the shooting. Friends and relatives have also shared emotional tributes, remembering Garibay as a bright, hardworking young woman whose positive attitude touched everyone around her.

Authorities later identified two other victims as Christopher Claunch, 59, who was known in his community for helping people overcome addiction, and Dale Schultz, 66, an artist from Salt Lake City. Seven additional people were injured during the attack, several of whom remain hospitalized. Investigators continue to examine evidence as they work to determine what led to one of the deadliest mass shootings in Idaho this year.
